Exceptional
The quiet location close to the castle park. With very little traffic noise. Great breakfast with lots of options. Lovely spacious room.
Typically the beds in Japan are a lot harder than we are used to in NZ. No shuttle service to itami domestic airport from this location.

What was the highlight of Hotel New Otani Osaka
Gorgeous castle views
We felt like we'd landed in a choice part of Osaka, with an extraordinary view to Osaka Castle and its parkland. It was a highlight and daily pleasure, particularly at dusk with the sunset reflecting on the moat and at night with the castle lit up. Staff were kind and generous with local knowledge. The breakfast buffet was well-catered and delicious. Short walk to quality local restaurants and the train station.
Mattresses were quite firm, and the bedsheets were a little stiff and noisy.

What was the highlight of Hotel New Otani Osaka
Pleasant hotel with great friendly and informed staff but could be more flexible with late check out
Location - close to the JR line and subway and also to the Castle. The view of the canal and the cherry blossom trees were very pleasant to walk and enjoy the atmosphere. Staff were all very pleasant, helpful and informative. Special mention on Mr Nishida , Taw and Zaw .
I understand it is a business hotel but the breakfast is too expensive. Also on 14 April check out time was 12 noon but my flight out was at 9.10pm. I requested for late checkout, but was denied! and were asked to pay for quite a high rate for a 1 to 2 hrs extension. Because of the cost, we did not extend. We taught that after staying for 5 days, we could at least get a complimentary extension for 2 hrs. That did not happen. We also stayed in Hotel Granvia Kyoto and they were more accommodating with extension of time for late check out for 1 hrs!,

Breakfast was fantastic! Started at an early enough time to accommodate early starts!
